Driving Change through Learning: Join Our Racial Equity Learning Pilot

Help shape a new racial equity training for public library professionals and promote racial and health equity in your community! We invite you to join our Racial Equity Learning Pilot led by NNLM All of Us Program Center (NAPC) in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh Center on Race and Social Problems (CRSP). The pilot program cohort will complete and provide feedback on asynchronous learning modules, as well as connect with public library professionals across the country who are interested in racial and health equity.

Due to high interest in this Learning Pilot we have closed the call for applications. However, we would very much like to work with you in the future. If you are interested in other pilot testing or training opportunities like this one, please fill out the application so that we have your contact and library information on hand and can be in touch directly.

We are excited to offer up to 12 openings for our pilot cohort to those who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently works in a public library, preferably in a community-facing role.
  • Currently works in a rural or urban setting, preferably serving underrepresented communities*.
  • Available to complete all asynchronous and live virtual pilot activities between August and October 2023. See Required Pilot Activities below for details.

Required Pilot Activities

  • Complete pre- and post-surveys
  • Engage with and provide feedback on all the core materials in two modules
  • Complete asynchronous knowledge assessments, learner satisfaction surveys, bug reports, and other types of reporting or evaluation instruments as needed
  • Attend 3 virtual one-hour check-in meetings
  • Attend 1 virtual focus group at the end of the project
  • Secure a stable internet connection to participate in all activities (assistance provided as needed)

The estimated time commitment is 15 hours over 3 months.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all 12 openings are filled or by July 24, 2023.

After you apply, please anticipate around 5 business days to hear from us if a spot is offered in the pilot program.

Participation Benefits
